Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals such as Wicked, Legally Blonde, as well as Hair. In You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford, a Tony Award-winning actor as well as director, has spent the bulk of her professional career working with well-known directors and actors in film and on television. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive program Welcome to Chippendales which premieres November 22. Ashford is involved in Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust that stars Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film is scheduled to stream on Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. In March of 2023 Ashford will return to Broadway and star opposite Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the musical. Ashford was last seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the country's First Impeachment Proceedings during the Over an Century. Ashford was the main character in two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren of Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and raised in Denver, now spends time in Los Angeles and New York.
